WHO SHOULD ATTEND?


Lecturers, Researchers, Engineers, Students, Scientists and Industry professionals, who wish to explore latest techniques and algorithms on Communication, Signal and Image processing, are welcome to this Practical Workshop.

The Workshop Convener will start from the MATLAB basics and gradually guide the participants to learn the fundamentals of communications and optimization in biology and medicine.

 

 

 

OBJECTIVES


To introduce state of the art methods in communication and signal processing using MATLAB Toolboxes.

 


COURSE METHODOLOGY

 

The course will be conducted by balancing theoretical concepts with modelling examples and practical solutions using MATLAB.

 

 

 

 

BIOGRAPHY OF THE CONVENER

 


Dr. Nidhal Bouaynaya (USA) received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de L’Electronique et de ses Applications (ENSEA), France, in 2002, the MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, in 2022, the Diplome d’Etudes Approfondies in Signal and Image processing from ENSEA, France, in 2003, the M.S. degree in Mathematics and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, in 2007. From 2007-2013, she was an Assistant then Associate Professor with the Department of Systems Engineering at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, USA. In 2013, Dr. Bouaynaya won the UALR Faculty Excellence Award in Research. Starting fall 2013, Dr. Bouaynaya will join Rowan University as an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Bouaynaya won the Best Student Paper Award in Visual Communication and Image Processing 2006. She is currently serving as a Review Editor of Frontiers in Systems Biology. Her current research interests are in genomic signal processing, medical imaging, mathematical biology and dynamical systems.
